July 27 - An upper level system responsable for the rain and storms over southern inland Queensland this week strengthened and moved quickly towards the coast yesterday and overnight with rain and storms developing throughout the SE quarter of Queensland. To 9am this morning rainfall totals from 20-50mm were widespread with a handfull of higher totals including Rosedale 71mm, Sandy Cape 66mm and Lady Eliot Island 63mm. Around Brisbane and surrounding areas totals generally ranged from 20-40mm with the exception of Cape Moreton with 50mm and Mt Glorious with 59mm.
